Each year seems to come and go faster and faster in almost a blur. Four years ago we were spending our very first christmas and new years as home owners. Aidan was not even quite a year old yet and we were preparing for Richard to leave on a deployment to Iraq. Four years later it is amazing to see how much things have changed and the things that we have endured. The Iraq deployment was followed by a deployment to Africa within the year of returning from Iraq. He has changed. The kids have grown, school has been challenging at times and there have been challenges with them else where as we are shaping the people that they will become They have played sports . They have changed. I have learned to handle challenges in the home and else where. I have made career changes and I have gone back to school. I have changed. We all change. Everyday has its way for putting it mark on shaping the people we are. The people we meet from day to day and the situations we face. It is easy sometimes to get wrapped up in all that and sometimes we get to following what we think is a clear path to our future and end up loosing ourselves. Here are the new year is a good time to stop and take inventory and reflect.
Make the changes that will put you on track to move you to those goals. I know I plan to
Starting tomorrow I am starting a new tradition in our house. Our goal posters for our family for the new year, What we want to accomplish as a family and indivdually in 2009.
